"When I was first telling people people I was a professional ultimate frisbee player, they laughed," says Matt Bode, who moved to New York last week to play the seven-on-seven game that takes place on a baseball field. "I came from North Carolina. My first day, in New York City, I ate a sausage at the Yankees game and was sick the rest of the night," jokes the former wrestler who says he "plays first, thinks second." The member of the New York Empire -- our city's pro team -- plays his home games at MCU Park off the Coney Island boardwalk, best-known as the home of the minor league Brooklyn Cyclones. Their first-ever game was April 13. They lost to the Toronto Rush 22-20.
